Here are a list of near random links that you should find of
interest. I personally seem to spend far more time than is
possibly healthy at the sites below:
- World Wide Web Consortium
These guys are the ones who set the current Internet
technology standards such as XHTML 1.0 or proposed
technologies such as Cascading Style Sheets Level 3.
- Rich in Style
Cascading Style Sheets are ace! They are centralized, efficient and allow
much greater control over the rendering of HTML. Rich In Style
also host a
very useful guide in CSS1 and CSS2 authoring.
- Microsoft Developer
Network Homepage
MSDN is an absolutely huge resource for all Microsoft
technologies in the market or still in development. The MSDN
Library Online is very useful if you are a programmer for
Windows based environments.
- Arstechnica
One of the best news and technology sites dealing with Windows
NT4 and Windows 2000. Plenty of reviews and How-To guides to
look into. They also host the Arstechnica
OpenForum and is surely one of the best forums I have
frequented on the Internet.
- National Institute of Science and Technology
One
of the most prestigious academic sites. A fine collection of
information related to science and technology.
- Microsoft XBox
XBox is Microsoft's first game console. The paper specs are
extremely impressive but as it won't be delivered till 2001,
PlayStation2 will have almost a year head start. Can the
software giant crush the old king? (My money is on XBox by the
way)
- Sony PlayStation
The creator of PlayStation, PlayStation2 and the soon to be
"re-released" PlayStation One. Sony pretty much
single handily made video gaming "hip" for the mass
market. I'm just wondering if they will release a Net Yaroze
2.....
- Jeff K
(hosted by Something Awful)
Stomach achingly funny, sometimes for the wrong reason.
Jeff K never ceases to amaze me with his antics. My
current favourite is still "HOW
TO OVERCLOAK YUOR COMPUTAR TOO MAKES IT FASTAR (HIGHLY
TECHNICALL ARTICAL WORTHeY OF PRAISE)". It's just
a classic.....
- Robot Frank's Life
Here are the chronicles of Robot Frank and his friend,
Robot Ron. Be warned, it's insane and very blunt!! They
beat people up, run them over in cars and go mad with
saws. Don't be completely surprised when you read
this in the office/college computer lab to get some very odd looks when you
burst out giggling like a little girl, in classic Homer J
Simpson style.
- Something Awful
My life is so bad I actually enjoy this site. Oh, and it's
the home of the l33+ h4X0r Jeff
K and possibly completely insane Cliffy
B. So there.
