Let's Create Hobbyist Development System for PlayStation
Debuting this month solely in Japan, the Let's Create Development System for PlayStation, known as Net Yarouze in Japan, is a low-cost development environment that will allow computer hobbyists to create their own PlayStation games. The overwhelming success of PlayStation worldwide has created a great deal of interest from PlayStation owners to create their own games. Let's Create fulfills that need and allows technically-minded users to communicate and share their games with each other.
When a user becomes a member of the Let's Create program, they purchase a system consisting of a special Black PlayStation that connects to the user's PC via an interface cable. Using the supplied tools and libraries which are designed for this purpose, the user can write PlayStation games and immediately play them on the special PlayStation.
Users are encouraged to share their ideas and games with each other through the Let's Create Host Server in Tokyo, Japan, and even make improvements to each other's games if they wish.
Parties interested in the Let's Create program are invited to the Net Yarouze web site at http://www.scei.co.jp/Net/ .
