LINKS
I'm always on the lookout for websites that will help Yaroze novices on the rocky road to success. If you feel that your website has something to offer then I'd be glad to add it to this links page. Just contact me at scott.ward6@virgin.net
YAROZE UTILITIES
KENNY MILLAR -
PSXCOMM
Kenny's own windows-based
siocons utility. Sick of pattering about in DOS, give this a
whirl.
DANONE - FONTS FOR YAROZE
All the way from Madrid,
Spain. I've had requests of how to change the default Yaroze
fonts, well here's a utility to make things a little easier.
GENERAL UTILITIES
TUCOWS - FTP SOFTWARE
This is a very useful site.
I used it download my ftp software but after having a look round
I realised that it supplies you with most software. If you're
looking for utilities then is the first place you should try.
ALADDINSYS - COMPRESSION
SOFTWARE
Need to compress your
software to download to your ftp area? Use this package, it deals
with most compression formats.
TUTORIALS
IRA RAINEY - SPRITE
DISPLAYING
This is probably one of the
better known tutorials on the members website. The reason being
because it's pretty good, try it out.
JAMES CHOW - TUTORIALS
ON YAROZE BASICS
It's been a while since
James last updated his website. Unfortunately, James' job
commitments have left him unable to keep up the same level of
commitment as before. Luckily for us he left several excellent
tutorials. If your learning the very basics from scratch this
range of tutorials are extremely helpful.
PETER PASSMORE - 3D
TUTORIAL
As a lecturer at Middlesex
University this tutorial was written by Peter as a guide for his
third year students. Must be pretty good then. If you're thinking
about coding in 3D this is a good place to start.
RICHARD CUTTING - SOUND
TUTORIAL
Sound is something that
most beginners don't really bother with until they've cracked
most of the graphics stuff. Well, when you've cracked most of the
graphics stuff, here's the sound.
OTHERS
MATT VERRAN - HARDWARE
MODS & INFO
One for the specialists
here, this is the place to go if you want to exchange any info on
getting hardware to work with different stuff. Want to use a dual
shock pad with a PC? or how about a knackered old monitor with
your Yaroze? Matt's your man.
