This was my first ever 'game' and was written in the traditional "get a single sprite on the screen and go from there" method. The Star Wars name attempt is just there to hype up what is actually a rather clumsy, mediocre, and workman-like piece of coding. Commented source is included, so it's a recommended download for beginners (who'll probably be able to do much better than this very soon). Not just my first game, but also my first ever proper program in 'C'.

The "Special Edition" is the original source code re-jigged by James Shaughnessy to utilise look-up tables for rotation, bitshifts for scaling the movement of the ships, a basic accelerate/decelerate control method and a few extra bits and bobs. I found these modifications very useful in understanding the basics of 2D programming on Yaroze, so I've put them in a zip file, along with James Rutherford's comments on my original source. Handy for fellow beginners...I hope!

(v1.0 PAL or v1.0 NTSC?)

Newbies be sure to grab the SPECIAL EDITION!
