Graeme's 2005 Yaroze Page
hello i saw that stuff about xgamestation on the ngs, and thought this
sounded more fun.
-
download some videogame VHDL source.
Then download a free
VHDL compiler and load the design into a cheapo FPGA board from (maybe)
here. mmm but will it fit??
- i haven't managed any pacman yet, but getting the PC talking data to an
FPGA over the parallel port was fun. designing a console is harder..
- someones made a
spectrum.
- if you don't fancy
learning
VHDL you could always compile
up some C code and design a PS3-destroying parallel monster.
old stuff.
-
minicons
siocons replacement. all your favourite keystrokes still work.
usage minicons [-pPORT] [-bBAUDRATE] [autofile] where PORT is like COM1,
BAUDRATE is like 115200. it remembers the last settings in the registry
under HKLM/SOFTWARE/Yaroze (which is a bit daft if you're logged in as
a standard user). stuff missing: dos shelling, nested auto files,
logging, probably other stuff. should work on any windows but apparently not
on 95/98 unless you've installed sysinternals portmon. uses win32 serial
calls. [last updated 2001]
-
yaroze file transfer classes. in case
you feel like building your dream siocons clone with drag-n-drop XP
shell integration - these classes can handle the boring protocol bit. will
compile with visual c++, are unicode-friendly, will also compile on creaky
windows ce if you get the free eMbedded visual compiler from microsoft.

itslove. 'its love' by the softies is one of
the greatest indiepop albums of the nineties, shame about this. i
think i wanted to play parappa the rapper but couldnt afford it or something.
find the secret moves..
-
the famous gnu c++ v2.8.1, as much maligned on
various newsgroups. but hey it does work, and its free.
-
pune. a yaroze version of a 1994 dos
conversion of an ancient amiga shareware game called dune. strangely it lost
something every time. once had its own fan club page on the US yaroze
server. 4 should play at once.
